We stayed at Cao Bang Eco House. Phố Thầu Cầu Bằng Giang, P. Hợp giang, Cao Bằng, VietnamA nice hotel on the river in town. Convenient to restaurants and shops, etc. Not that we thought the food was particularly good/tasty up here in Cao Bang.In the morning we organised a semi-auto motorbike 125 which was powerful enough for us to potter around the province. We headed straight to Pac Bo and were overwhelmed by some of the beautiful landscapes we encountered. Pac Bo itself is quite pretty itself, especially once you get to the end of the walking track where the water is absolutely pristine. We visited Coc Bo, cave where Ho Chị Mình wrote and we walked up to the Chinese border zone.We spent far too long here and that led to a late arrival it our destination for the day Thang Hen Lake. The road on the way consisted of outcrops of craggy mountains with steep and windy roads which was challenging and enjoyable. To be honest this part gave me a better understanding of how to use the motorbike properly (there were quite a few verrry slooowww moments up verrry steeeep hills).Once we arrived at our accommodation (Thang Hen Glamping & Eco Outdoor) Hồ Thang Hen, Quốc Toản, Quảng Uyên, Cao Bằng 21000, Vietnam in the dark we finally talked our way into our tent and the late arrival led to an interesting night.#vietnamcountry #caobangloop #caobằng #pácbó #thanghenlake
